![]() I do love GR for keeping track of my annual reading progress, finding books, entering contests, etc.Įdit: I posted before elaborating- my bad. This is done according to the rules defined for cataloging. I have hundreds of books that I already own on my GR want to read list and even more I don’t own, which then made me create an “already own TBR” and then that creates a lot of lists. Cataloging is the process of creating metadata that represents the information resources, such as books, movies, sound recordings, articles, documents, and maps. I have have used GR forever, but I don’t like using it for (specifically) cataloging my books. You can scan books, create lists, find more books to read through the social aspect, have a TBR (want to read on their format) list etc. I prefer the homepage and the app layout (SUPER SIMP) for keeping track of what I own, I have the ability to quickly search new titles while at the book store and immediately know if I own a copy or not. Also, I have won more advance copies (early reviews) on LT than GR. ![]() Not ones I want to read or need to buy- which differs from GR. but in each list are books I already own. I use LT to catalog my personal library, books I physically own (included ebooks for awhile but I deleted those for personal esthetics), I have my lists based on hardcover, paperback, finished, DNF, favorites, TBR, etc. You can scan your books and create collections, write reviews, win advance copies, has a social aspect like GoodReads but your home screen is more focused on your personal library.
